Entry door locking swing arm (also called a door stay, door catch, or scissor hinge). Installed on the top of the door. Includes mounting hardware. Used on several Tiffin coaches and other class A motorhomes. Genuine OEM replacement. Tiffin Motorhomes part number 5041741.
Dimensions: length of extended arms is 20 inches. Each individual arm measures 1 inch wide. Both mounting plates measure 5 inches by 1.75 inches.
**There are six bolts in the jam and six on the door to remove and reinstall. The hinge works with friction from the rivet and the “C” shape notch that is cut into the other side. Once the rivet or the notch wear a bit, it doesn’t hold and needs to be replaced.
